Every product carries its own measurement chart in centimetres, so you can check it against something you already own rather than guess. Sizing runs smaller than a British high-street size, so if you are between two, take the larger one.
Looking after it
Follow the care label sewn into the garment. As a rule: silk, satin and delicate fabrics are best hand washed or dry cleaned, cotton and jersey wash cool on a gentle cycle, and structured tailoring such as blazers should be dry cleaned to hold its shape.
